Most people decorate their offices with knickknacks, pictures of family, or stress-relieving decor. But one employee at a Russian publishing house decided to decorate his cubicle a little bit differently.
Dmitry works for a publishing house that produces tons of books. But they also get a lot of books back that have been returned by bookstores because they were found damaged when delivered. These returned books just kept piling up in the warehouse. That is, until Dmitry had an awesome idea…
Dmitry felt his office space was a bit bland. He wanted to give it some life.
He realized that all of the damaged books returned to his company”s warehouse would be perfect.
First, he used a band saw to cut the damaged books into the proper shape.
This is what he was left with.
A glue gun was crucial for the next step…
Once he”d tested out his design with a few books, he began adding the rest.
He carefully stacked and glued the books up the pillar.
Here”s the finished design.
This looks pretty great. It”s definitely perfect for a publishing house cubicle!
Cool from every angle!
What a cool and creative design! This is a great way to use old books that would”ve just taken up space in a warehouse. Hopefully he saved a few of them for reading, too!
